Sensi Peel

The PCA Sensi Peel® is a gentle yet effective chemical peel formulated for all skin types, including sensitive and rosacea-prone skin. This multi-functional treatment brightens, smooths, and evens skin tone with minimal irritation and little to no downtime.

If you’ve been curious about chemical peels but worried about sensitivity or downtime, the Sensi Peel may be your perfect introduction. Developed by PCA SKIN®, the industry leader in professional chemical peels, this treatment is specifically formulated to deliver visible results without the discomfort or extended recovery that more aggressive peels can cause.

Understanding the PCA Sensi Peel®

The Sensi Peel is a superficial chemical peel built around a gentle 6% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and 12% lactic acid formula. It also incorporates brightening agents like kojic acid, azelaic acid, and arbutin to target uneven pigmentation, sun damage, and dullness. Calming botanicals and plant-derived ingredients help soothe the skin during treatment, making it especially well-suited for those with reactive, rosacea-prone, or higher Fitzpatrick skin types.

Unlike harsher peels, the Sensi Peel works by gently accelerating cellular turnover and stimulating collagen production, without triggering the redness, inflammation, or prolonged peeling that can accompany more intensive treatments.

Why Choose the Sensi Peel?

1

Designed for Sensitive Skin – The Sensi Peel’s carefully balanced formula makes it safe and effective for even the most delicate skin types, including those with rosacea or chronic redness.

2

Brighter, More Even Skin Tone – A blend of brightening acids and melanogenesis inhibitors works to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, sun damage, melasma, and post-inflammatory discoloration.

3

Smoother Surface Texture – By promoting gentle exfoliation and new cell growth, the Sensi Peel helps refine skin texture, minimize the appearance of pores, and soften fine lines.

4

Anti-Acne and Anti-Inflammatory Support – The peel’s formula includes ingredients with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a strong choice for clients managing both sensitivity and breakout-prone skin.

5

Little to No Downtime – Most clients experience only mild warmth or tingling during treatment and minimal visible peeling afterward. Many resume their normal activities the same day.

What to Expect During Treatment

Your provider will begin with a thorough cleanse to remove any impurities. The Sensi Peel solution is then applied in carefully monitored layers, customized to your skin’s tolerance. You may feel a light tingling or warmth as each layer is applied, your provider will fan the area to keep you comfortable. The entire treatment typically takes 30–45 minutes. A calming topical lotion and broad-spectrum SPF are applied before you leave.

Sensi Peel Aftercare

Proper post-treatment care is essential to getting the best results from your Sensi Peel.

Do use only gentle, fragrance-free cleansers until peeling is complete. Keep skin hydrated with a non-comedogenic moisturizer. Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily and avoid direct sun exposure. Use only PCA SKIN® post-procedure products as directed by your provider. Stay well-hydrated before and after treatment.

Don’t pick, pull, or assist peeling skin, let it shed naturally. Avoid retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide for 5–7 days post-treatment. Do not apply makeup for several hours after the peel. Avoid scrubs, exfoliating cleansers, and Clarisonic-type brushes during the peeling phase. Refrain from waxing or tweezing the treated area for at least 8 days, or until skin is no longer sensitive. Avoid tanning beds for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Who Is the Sensi Peel For?

The Sensi Peel is an excellent option for anyone looking to improve skin clarity and tone without aggressive downtime. It is particularly well-suited for clients with sensitive or rosacea-prone skin, uneven skin tone or hyperpigmentation, early signs of aging and fine lines, acne-prone skin that is also reactive, and those who are new to chemical peels. Treatments can be repeated every 4–6 weeks as part of an ongoing skin health plan.
